CLARK Development Corporation (CDC) president and CEO Noel Manankil recently lauded some 16 individuals for completing the BPO readiness training organized by CDC in partnership with iQor Philippines.

Manankil, with CDC chairman Jose “Ping” De Jesus, acknowledged the trainees and awarded them certificates of completion through a culminating activity held recently and spearheaded by the CDC–External Affairs Department.

The completers of the said program were given a 23-day training which highlights language proficiency and call center or outsourcing practices.

iQor Philippines, a leading business process outsourcing (BPO) establishments in this Freeport, partnered with the state-owned firm to lead in the conduct of the training and educate individuals who are willing to learn the basics of BPO.

BPO is a subset of outsourcing that involves the contracting of the operations and responsibilities of a specific business process to a third-party service provider.

The training serves as one of the thrusts of CDC in generating employment for the neighboring communities in this Freeport. Accordingly, the completion of the said training also gives a better opportunity for the trainees to land a job on the BPO industry. (PR)
