Pangan: On cloud and digital technology

THE trend on various platforms is to aim at the sky or space, so to speak, as technology explores all possibilities to reach even the limitless space, above the clouds and possibly beyond.

Man's ability to create something from nothing is indeed astonishing, as he invents, from time to time, gadgets and apps so far ahead of his time.

Microsoft is now ahead of other tech giants in fully exploring the limits of space to accommodate its tools and gadgets employing cloud/digital application. It will be followed soon by its competitors.

From banks, retail and transportation, everything is computerized or at least employ hints of technology.

It is a sight to behold that transactions in these facilities can be accomplished in a few minutes and get the desired results unlike before when we have to wait for hours, maybe days when we can get the requested documents.

Campaign sorties are reaching fever pitch with candidates employing every trick in the book to get the voters' nod.

People of all places the presidential aspirants go to are exhibiting the same degree of fervor to every candidate who comes to them, one wonders who to vote for.

All the major presidential contenders have convincing platforms of government with Senator Manny Pacquiao getting the edge by jabbing his to boxing rounds!

For his part, Isko Moreno Domagoso tries very hard to be convincing by his straightforwardness and candid enunciation of his platform.

Whatever, other candidates like former senator Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Leni Robredo are renewing their rivalry by courting voters estranged to them and places considered not their bailiwicks and sources of voting strength.

On the local front, candidates for local positions, i.e., congressmen, governors, board members, mayors and councilors are busy festooning every imaginable space with their colorful tarpaulins one wonders if they are aware of Comelec caveat on their campaign expenses. Well...
