Nakighugpong ang Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ug Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) sa Victorian Government Trade and Investment Southeast Asia (VGTI SEA) ug Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) ning bag-uhay lang aron tukion ang kabahin sa paugnat sa kusog ug negusyo.

Ang panaghugpong nakatutok sa sports education, training and management, event organization, sports facilities lakip na ang business enterprise.

Nahimo kining posible gumikan kay nakatakdang mo-host ang duha ka mga nasod og mayorihiyang international events sa magsunod upat ka mga tuig.

Ang Pilipinas maoy co-host sa 2023 FIBA World Cup kauban ang Japan ug Indonesia samtang ang Australia mopahigayon sa Victoria 2026 nga naila sab nga Commonwealth Games.
