2 nabbed over drugs in Southern Leyte, Leyte

POLICE and anti-narcotics agents arrested two suspects in separate anti-illegal drugs operation in Southern Leyte and Leyte provinces Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

In Maasin City, Southern Leyte, joint operatives rounded Richard Bales Timblaco, 34, who has been listed as a high-value individual in the city.

Purchased from the suspect were eight small sachets believed to be containing shabu in consideration of P8,000, police said.

Authorities also confiscated from Timblaco three small sachets containing shabu, buy-bust money, P170 cash, and a motorcycle.

In Mahaplag, Leyte, joint operatives arrested Lorie Sabares, who has been identified as a high-value target.

Inventory of seized pieces of evidence is still ongoing.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
