3 found dead with gunshot, hack wounds in Leyte

THREE persons were found dead with gunshot and hack wounds in Calubian, Leyte Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

The victims were identified as Albert Aldiano, a member of the Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit of the Philippine Army’s 93rd Infantry Battalion based in Kananga, Leyte, and couple Paquito and Melba Mahinay of Barangay Anislagan, Calubian.

According to the police, Paquito was a former rebel.

The victims’ bodies were found around 3 a.m. Tuesday at the public cemetery of Barangay Padoga, Calubian.

Authorities also recovered from the crime scene two fired cartridge cases of .9mm and .45mm.

Police are investigating the incident. (SunStar Philippines)
