7 most wanted fall in Eastern Visayas

POLICE in Eastern Visayas arrested seven most wanted persons during the three-day anti-criminality operations in the region from October 1 to 3, 2021.

The accused were identified as Marlon Ecaldre, 40, for 13 counts of statutory rape; Keno Mejido, 27, for rape; Eric Salar, 43, for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act; Rolito Pandac Precillas, 47, for lascivious conduct, two counts of qualified sexual assault, and sexual assault; John Rey Baleros, 21, for RA 7610; Carlito Meniano Jr., 25, for statutory rape and two counts of sexual assault; and Randy Evangelista, 41, for rape.

In the information released by the Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas, the region-wide operations also resulted in the arrest of 33 other personalities who were facing various crimes and offenses.

The arrested individuals include five wanted persons, 21 illegal fishing violators, five illegal gamblers, and two drug suspects.

They were brought to their respective police stations for documentation and proper disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
