Businessman gunned down in Ormoc City

A 35-YEAR-OLD businessman was shot dead while walking along the public market area of Ormoc City Friday, October 16, 2020.

Police identified the victim as Rand Kelvin Catingub, a resident of Barangay Casilda, Merida, Leyte.

In a report, police also tagged the victim as a high-value individual.

Initial investigation disclosed that while Catingub was walking towards the second floor of the building located at Ormoc public market, an unidentified gunman on board a vehicle suddenly appeared and shot him to death around 6:50 p.m. Friday.

The suspect fled away to an unknown direction, police said.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. (SunStar Philippines)
