Elderly couple dead, grandson wounded after stabbing in Northern Samar

AN ELDERLY couple was stabbed to death while their 18-year-old grandson suffered injuries in Laoang, Northern Samar Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Authorities identified the victims as Basilesa Obradilla Esparas, 80, and Franko Lipata Esparas, 89, both residents of Barangay Bobolosan, Laoang.

Initial investigation disclosed that an unidentified male suspect entered the house of the victims and stabbed the elderly couple around 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.

However, the grandson was brought to the nearest hospital after sustaining several stab wounds.
