Man found dead in Tacloban

A 27-YEAR-OLD fishing boat crew was found dead inside a boat docked along the seashore of Barangay 37 Reclamation Area, Tacloban City.

Police identified the victim as Jandy Malate, a resident of Villa Diana, Tacloban City.

The fishing boat captain discovered the victim’s body around 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Initial investigation disclosed that when the boat captain entered the boat’s upper deck, he noticed that the victim was already lifeless.

He immediately contacted the victim’s family, police said.

According to the boat captain, the victim was suffering an ailment on his abdomen portion.

Police said there was no sign of forcible entry and the victim appeared to have died of natural cause. (SunStar Philippines)
