Pinabacdao councilor gunned down while on way to session

A MUNICIPAL councilor was shot dead by still unidentified gunmen while on his way to attend a session in Pinabacdao, Samar Monday, January 25, 2021.

Police identified the victim as Samuel Lagario, 50, married, a resident of Barangay Parasanon, Pinabacdao.

Initial investigation revealed that Lagario was driving his motorcycle together with another councilor when he was gunned down by the assailants who were onboard a private vehicle around 9:25 a.m. Monday in Barangay Laygayon, Pinabacdao.

The councilor died on the spot.
