Senior high school teacher nabbed for ‘shabu’

POLICE arrested a 35-year-old senior high school teacher after he allegedly sold a suspected shabu to an undercover operative in Tacloban City Wednesday, June 3.

The suspect was identified as David Martin Leon, who is teaching in one of the private schools in the city and considered as high-value individual.

He was arrested in a drug bust around 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, in Barangay 77.

Confiscated from his possession and control were two pieces plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P4,500 and P500 as drug bust money.

The operation unit was led by Lieutenant Rando Moreno of Tacloban City Police Office-Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Station 1 in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the region.

The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
