1 nabbed, P170,000 shabu seized in anti-drug sting

A MARINE soldier who has gone on absence without official leave (Awol) was arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Wednesday, May 4.

Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Bobby Grafia, 50, a resident of Tetuan village, Zamboanga City.

Chang said Grafia was arrested by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit operatives in an anti-drug operation around 6:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in Sitio Asinan in Kasanyangan.

Recovered from the suspect were 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000, a coin purse and one P1,000 marked money.

She said the suspect was detained pending the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
