2 most wanted persons in Zamboanga fall

LAWMEN have arrested two most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday, February 16.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified them as Usama Gumikas, 36, and Jeffrey Francisco, 40.

Duco said Gumikas was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 15, in Purok Lower Lumboy in Tuburan village, Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur.

Gumikas has been listed as the number nine most wanted person in Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur and has a standing warrant of arrest for murder.

Francisco, on the other hand, was arrested in another law enforcement operation around 8:30 p.m. Monday, February 15, in San Roque village, Zamboanga City.

Duco said Francisco has a standing warrant of arrest for statutory rape.
