2 nabbed in anti-drug operation

TWO persons, including a government employee, were arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Tuesday, September 29.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Jul-Asmad Amik Jammih, 37, a Municipal Government employee of Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte; and Macbilor Nuhman Jalaluddin, 30.

Duco said the two suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 4 p.m. Monday, September 24, in Poblacion village, Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte.

Recovered from the suspects were some P10,000 worth of shabu and P500 marked money.

Duco said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
