2 nabbed, P102,000 shabu seized in Zamboanga anti-drug sting

TWO suspects, including a minor, were arrested while some P102,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Monday, March 20, 2023.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, identified the arrested suspects as Marvile Alap-ap, 34, and a certain Cris, 17.

Lorenzo said the two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation by joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) around 2:10 p.m. Sunday, March 19, on Marcos Drive in Guiwan village, Zamboanga City.

He said seized from the two suspects were some 15 grams of suspected shabu packed in seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P102,000, a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 as marked money, and illegal drug paraphernalia.

He said the arrested suspects were placed under the custody of PDEA-Zamboanga City Office while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
