4 most wanted persons in Zamboanga Peninsula nabbed

FOUR of the most wanted persons in Zamboanga Peninsula were arrested.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted persons as the following: Wildon Ansal, 23; John Paul Monding, 38; Anecito Chavez, 28; and, Artemia Martir, 54.

Duco said that Ansal, a factory worker, was arrested through a warrant of arrest around 12:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 in Barangay Recodo in Zamboanga City.

Duco said that Ansal is listed as the number three most wanted person in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte and has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with homicide with no recommended bail issued on July 2, 2018 by the town court.

Monding was arrested around 9 a.m. Friday in Barangay Totolan in Bohol.

Monding, who is listed as the number eight most wanted person in Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte, has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued on October 15, 2012 by the court of Dipolog City of the same province.

Duco said that Chavez, the number eight most wanted person in Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. Friday at Purok 6 in Sitio Lantawan, Tangarak village, Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said Chavez is facing a rape case before a court in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, and has standing warrant of arrest with no recommended bail issued on August 31, 2017.

He said that Martir was arrested around 8:30 a.m. Friday in Barangay Baoyan village, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao Del Norte.

He said that Martir, the number eight most wanted person in Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft with P40,000 recommended bail issued by the court of Ipil, the capital of the same province. (SunStar Zamboanga)
