Anti-drug operations net 5 suspects

FIVE people were arrested in two separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Wednesday, October 27.

Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Rolando Timpangco, 52; Jaypee Enriquez, 33; Carl John Aringoy, 20; Dindo Agosto, 44; and Jurhasser Mohammad, 24.

Reyes said that all, except Mohammad, were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, at Zone 9A in Zambowood village, Zamboanga City.

Seized from the four suspects were P20,400 worth of shabu, marked money, electronic weighing scale and other illegal drugs paraphernalia.

Reyes said Mohammad was arrested in another buy-bust operation around 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, in Putik village, Zamboanga City.

Recovered from Mohammad were some P20,000 worth of shabu, marked money, boodle money and other illegal drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were detained while formal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2202 will be filed against them, said Reyes. (SunStar Zamboanga)
