Businessman nabbed in anti-drug sting

A BUSINESSMAN was arrested while some P100,000 worth of suspected “shabu” was seized in anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police said.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested businessman as Roberto Yanga alias Kelong, 51, a resident of Camino Nuevo village, this city.

Galvez said Yanga was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in exchange for P200 to an undercover policeman on Thursday at the Vitaliano Agan Avenue in Camino Nuevo village.

Seized from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu worth P100,000 and P200 marked money, she added.
