Detained drug suspect gets another warrant of arrest

OPERATIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have served a warrant of arrest for an illegal drug case to an inmate detained for another case involving illegal drugs at the Zamboanga City Jail (ZCJ).

Police Major Samson Pascual, CIDG-Zamboanga City Field Unit chief, said the warrant was served against Masil Tee, 54, around 5:45 p.m. Friday, November 25, at the male dormitory of ZCJ.

Pascual said the warrant they served against Tee was for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, dated November 22, 2022 issued by a local court.

Pascual said that Tee was detained at ZCJ for another case for violation of RA 9165 filed at the sala of another local court.

He said Tee was appraised of his constitutional rights in a dialect the latter fully understand when they served the warrant against him on Friday, November 25. (SunStar Zamboanga)
