Elected, reelected officials take oath today

MAYOR Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar will lead the inaugural rites Saturday afternoon, June 29, for City Government officials who were elected and reelected during the May 13 midterm elections, as they begin their three-year term.

Dubbed "Juramiento de maga Elijido Oficiales del City," the activity will be held on Don Pablo Lorenzo Street (beside the historic City Hall) at 5 p.m.

First to take their oath are District 1 Councilors King Omaga, Crisanto dela Cruz, Cesar Jimenez Sr., Rogelio Valesco, Khymer Olaso, Elbert Atilano and Josephine Pareja.

District Representative Cesar Jimenez Jr. will deliver his inaugural address after taking his oath of office.

To follow is the oath-taking of District 2 Councilors Vincent Paul Elago, Jimmy Villafores, Al-Jihan Edding, Juan Climaco Elago, Benjamin Guingona and John Dalipe.

District 2 Representative Jose Manuel Dalipe, reelected to his second term, will also deliver his inaugural address after taking his oath.

Vice Mayor Rommel Agan will give his inaugural address after taking his oath as well.

Salazar will then take her oath of office and deliver her inaugural speech to usher in her third term as local chief executive of Zamboanga City. (SunStar Philippines)
