Misamis Occidental town's most wanted person nabbed

LAWMEN arrested a most wanted person in a manhunt operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday, November 11.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Domingo Maturan, 53, the top 1 most wanted person in the town of Don Victoriano, Misamis Occidental.

Galvez said Maturan, who works as a rubber tapper, was arrested around 4 p.m. Sunday, November 10, in Purok Nangka in the village of Barangay Don Perfecto, R.T. Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Galvez said Maturan was nabbed by joint police team of R.T. Lim and Don Victoriano by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder issued on December 9, 2005 by the Court of Tangub City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
