THE Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CDH) in Soccsksargen is now under the administration of the Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-Barmm).

This, as DOH Undersecretary Abdullah Dumama and CHD-Soccsksargen Assistant Regional Director Sulpicio Henry Legazpi, Jr. turned over on Tuesday, May 17, the administration of the DOH-CDH in Soccsksargen to the MOH-Barmm.

Barmm Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua, MOH-Barmm Officer-in-Charge Minister Zul Qarneyn Abas, and MOH Director-General Ameril Usman received the symbolic key of responsibility in a ceremony held in Cotabato City.

MOH-Barmm will take over the CHD compound containing buildings for office spaces, storage or cooling room, warehouse, conference room, dormitory, covered court or mini gym, operation center and wide space for parking.

Dumama said the facility is very memorable and special for CHD-Soccsksargen and for himself because it was the first office he handled since 2006.

“Please take good care of this facility because it is very important and will serve as the landmark of health services in the region,” Dumama told the MOH-Soccsksargen officials.

Legazpi said they will remain committed to and steadfast in helping Barmm by providing health and technical assistance.

“This is not just a donation nor a gift from CHD-12 (Soccsksargen) for MOH-Barmm, but it would be a legacy assistance for us which will be treasured forever,” Abas said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
