MOTC-Barmm takes over LTO district office in Sulu

THE Ministry of Transportation and Communication in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOTC-Barmm) took over Friday, March 4, the management and operation of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) district office in Jolo, Sulu.

The LTO district office in Jolo, Sulu was previously under the LTO-Zamboanga Peninsula Office.

MOTC Minister Dickson Hermoso said they will computerize the driver's license renewal and application, as well as update of data system.

Hermoso added that the registration of vehicles will be likewise computerized in the province of Sulu.

Hermoso also assured that Barmm-issued licenses are authentic and can be used nationwide and no worries will rise regarding the said matter.

Prior to the turnover ceremony, Hermoso paid a courtesy visit to Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan. LTO operations and management were discussed during the visit. (SunStar Zamboanga)
