Online seller nabbed, P340,000 shabu seized in Zamboanga

AN ONLINE seller was arrested while some P340,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspect as Anersa Hassan 30, a resident of Sinunuc village, Zamboanga City.

Lorenzo said Hassan was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, in Baliwasan village, Zamboanga City.

He said seized from the suspect were some 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, a smart phone, 86 pieces of P1,000 bills as boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money and a plastic bag.

Lorenzo said that Hassan is included in the anti-drug watch list of the ZCPO.

He said the suspect will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
