Transport firm loses over P1M in robbery

A TRANSPORT firm lost more than P1 million cash and valuables in a robbery hold-up in Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Sunday, December 16.

Pasida Sarajan, 24, assistant manager of Ninja Express Tech Philippines which operates passenger vans, was in the company warehouse when four unidentified gunmen barged in and declared a robbery.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the incident happened around 8:50 p.m. Friday, December 14, in Purok Dayang in Veterans Village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Galvez said the suspects carted away one cellular phone and P1 million cash and sped towards the highway aboard two motorcycles. Investigation is ongoing. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
