Troops help build day care center in Zamboanga del Norte

THE Community Support Team (CSP) of the Army's 97th Infantry Battalion (IB) and Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZNPMFC) assisted in the construction of a day care center in a remote area in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Lieutenant Colonel Manaros Boransing, 97th IB commander, said the day care center was constructed last week in the village of Tinago, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte.

Boransing said the construction of the center was also made possible through the help of the CSP team of Tinago village.

The day care center will benefit several children in the village.

Also called as day nursery, or nursery school, it provides supervision and care of infants and young children during the daytime, particularly so that their parents can hold jobs.

Meanwhile, the Army's 10IB has conducted a two-day Youth Leadership Summit 2021 at Hi-Lander Resort in Alvenda village, Mutua, Zamboanga del Norte.

The summit, held from May 15 to 16, was anchored on the theme "Moulding Our Youth Today for a Better Change of Tomorrow."
