AS PART of its 5M donation, the fast-retailing fashion brand Uniqlo donated more than 500 dinnerware sets to typhoon-affected families in Zamboanga City last January 27.

Ninety-four families in Cabatangan evacuation center and 469 families in Tumaga were recipients of the dinner sets which were turned over by SM City Mindpro employee-volunteers led by its Assistant Mall Manager Engr. Rommel Bellen.

“Many of them did not recover yet from the effects of TS Paeng. Uniqlo and SM Foundation’s donation is very timely and we saw how happy and grateful they were when they received the dinnerware sets”, shared Engineer Rommel Bellen.

To note, Philippines’ 16th Tropical Cyclone (Paeng) made its first landfall On October 29, 2022, which displaced more than 12,000 families in Zamboanga City alone. (PR)
