THE Joint Task Force Sulu, in collaboration with the Sulu provincial government and other stakeholders, has recently launched a vegetable model farm project in that province.

The farm project, which was launched last week, is located in Tagbak village, Indanan, Sulu. The project is anchored on the theme of “innovative farming ways for sustainable crop production.”

The Joint Task Force Sulu said the project was intended to promote the local agricultural industry and, likewise, to protect the health of the people amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

Ideally, the task force said the project was meant to be cascaded down to the municipalities and village levels to maximize the potential of production of the project.

The expected beneficiaries of the project are the farmers who will be given employment opportunities.

Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan acknowledged the effort of all the stakeholders in initiating the project as it will be the start of a new phase of productivity in the province.

I assure you the support of the Provincial Government para sa kapakanan ng mga tao,” Tan said.
