Westmincom relief operation for quake victims underway

THE Western Mindanao Command, in partnership with the Southern Philippines (SoPhil) Deep Sea Fishing Association Incorporated, initiated a relief operation for earthquake victims in North Cotabato.

Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, Westmincom chief, said a total of 3,000 families in North Cotabato will benefit from the relief operation with the support extended by their partners and stakeholders.

Sobejana said the relief goods, packed by officers and enlisted personnel of Westmincom, will be forwarded to the Eastern Mindanao Command for distribution to the earthquake victims.

"We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Southern Philippines (SoPhil) Deep Sea Fishing Association Inc., its members, and other stakeholders for assisting us in the realization of this relief operation," Sobejana said.
