IN A bid to provide an essential guide for aspiring young entrepreneurs in the province, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Negros Occidental, through its Negosyo Center - Kabankalan City, has conducted its second session of Youth Entrepreneurship Seminar recently.

The seminar series held via Zoom was in partnership with Southland College in Kabankalan City.

The first session was conducted on October 26 in partnership with Kabankalan Catholic College, while the last of the three sessions is scheduled on November 6 with Fellowship Baptist College also in said city.

Victor Ed Anthony Alamon, senior business counselor of Negosyo Center - Kabankalan City, said it was participated by 100 students, teachers and staff of the college as well as out-of-school-youth, indigenous people and overseas Filipino workers.

Consumer Education, DTI programs, services and upcoming activities, among others, were underscored during the seminar.

Alamon said the activity aims to impart knowledge on how to become entrepreneurs especially among the youth and dwells on the business operations aspect.

"These youth are our future entrepreneurs so we have to capacitate them as early as now especially in having the right mindset towards business," he said, adding that "we have also invited guests and entrepreneurs to share their ideas on how to sustain businesses amid the pandemic."
