Erma M. Cuizon has always loved writing, whether journalese or literary, having started out as a Thomasian journalism graduate. She lived in Manila for some years and wrote as freelance contributor for The Manila Times magazine (now defunct) and other Manila magazines of the era.

She has been with Sun.Star Publishing since the early 1990s—as Sun.Star Weekend magazine assistant editor, later as editor. On the side, she keeps up with her literary works in short stories, essays and a novel as earnest member of PEN International.
