Carla N. Canet

Debutante Nhian Lalaine Baja celebrated her 18th birthday on January 28, Sunday, at O Hotel, San Sebastian Street, Bacolod City with family, classmates, and friends.

At an autumn-themed party, the debutante welcomed her entry to womanhood with a grateful heart.

Her father Ian, who works as a seafarer, was out of the country but he was equally happy to see her daughter blossom into a fine young lady.

His message to her was, “For my Nhian happy 18th birthday. I've watched you grow into the amazing woman you are today. And with each passing year, you continue to blossom even more. I hope your special day brings you all the happiness you deserve in life. Happy birthday little one hope you accomplish everything you dream of. I love you.”

Nhian had 18 roses and 18 blue bills from her family, relatives, classmates, and friends.

There was dancing and singing and all her well-wishers shared her happiness on her special day.

Most of her classmates also wished her to now act her age and enjoy life to the fullest.

She was likewise happy that everyone came over and shared her joy.

“Thank you everyone who came. I appreciate all your efforts for making this happen. Thank you for all your love and prayers. I am happy to see people who are close to me especially to my Papa Ian and also to everyone who really helped prepare this celebration,” she said.*
