3 injured in shooting incident in NegOcc

THREE persons were injured in a shooting incident in Barangay Andulauan, Ilog, Negros Occidental on Thursday, December 6.

The victims were Rey Menodiado,52, a driver of the Department of Education; Elesio Villa, 38, a security guard; and Arnold Cordero, 47, a driver for a construction firm.

Police records showed that the three victims were having a coffee in a store when suspect Jerry Arroz, 50, arrived and allegedly shot them past 6 a.m. The suspect fled after shooting the victims.

Arroz allegedly targeted Villa and Cordero after learning that one of them is admiring the woman he is courting.

Menodiado was hit by a stray bullet.

Police said Arroz committed the crime because of jealousy.
