Broadcaster portrays Judas in ‘Passion of Christ’

HOW does it feel to betray Jesus, the son of God?

Broadcaster Rey Siason had his share of experience when he portrayed the role of Judas Iscariot, one of the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ, through a stage play dubbed as “Taltal” (Passion of Christ) in the past years.

Siason will take the same role again this Good Friday at the Talisay City public plaza which was organized by the Talisay Taltal Organization. The stage play was set on 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. while the roadshow, 11 a.m.

Judas betrayed Jesus in exchange for 30 silver coins.

“Although Judas betrayed Jesus, my participation in the reenactment, sans my being the Judas in the stage play, blessed me and my family in many ways. My faith brought me here in this role, not centering on how bad Judas was, but the significance of being part of the religious experience that has so much impact on humanity,” Siason said.

Warren De Asis will portray the life of Jesus.

Roselyn Abaring Aloquina, the president of the group, will play the role of Virgin Mary. Her late husband used to portray the role of Jesus. (CNC)
