THE Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC), through its National Service Training Program (NSTP), will conduct a value-based voter education program dubbed “Tamang Kandidato” on October 16, 2021.

In line with the upcoming 2022 elections, the NSTP led by Elmer Gumban will organize a virtual voter education program in cooperation with the Technological University of the Philippines – Visayas and Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology.

“We've come up with this initiative for us and our students to be well-equipped and guided on how to choose a leader that would lead our towns, cities, province, and country,” Gumban said.

Former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno will be the key speaker during the event to be attended by the CHMSC students.

It is also open to students from different state colleges and universities, and those who will vote for the first time.

“I would like to invite every Juan to participate in this intellectual discourse as we prepare ourselves and our country for another milestone and that is in choosing our future leader. Let me also take this opportunity to challenge you to open your hearts and minds in doing critical thinking for ourselves and posterity,” Gumban said.

The value-based voter education program can be watched live on the CHMSC Official Facebook Page, CHMSC-NSTP Facebook Page, and CHMSC Student Affairs and Services Facebook Page at 9 a.m. (PR)
