CHRISTMAS parties will be allowed in Don Salvador Benedicto under certain conditions and limitations.

Don Salvador Benedicto Mayor Marxlen Dela Cruz said Christmas parties may be held only in resorts accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT).

Dela Cruz said as of Monday, November 23, three of the five resorts in the town have secured an accreditation from the DOT.

But Dela Cruz said the resorts are ordered to strictly observe the health protocols imposed by the Department of Health (DOH), including limiting the number of guests based on the regulations of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) during modified general community quarantine.

Dela Cruz also made an appeal to the resort guests to as much as possible avoid interacting with local residents in order to avoid Covid-19 transmission.

The town of Don Salvador Benedicto had been strictly implementing health protocols for visitors ever since it reopened its borders to tourists.

Among the actions taken by the local government is to deploy health enforcers who willl patrol the establishments and tourist spots in the town during the weekends.

As of November 17, the town has zero active Covid-19 cases, although they have 25 persons under monitoring.
