Fire hits 6 houses

FIVE persons suffered difficulty of breathing after a fire destroyed three houses and damaged three others at Barangay 16 in Bacolod City Sunday morning, May 27.

Chief Inspector Publio Doctora Ploteña, of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Bacolod, identified the victims as Nelia Bolunia, 66; Rebecca Robles, 42; Kim Espillo; Rebecca Espillo, 86; and Jessa Ochoca, 30.

Ploteña said the fire broke out around 9:45 a.m. from the second floor of Rebecca Espillo's house due to an alleged faulty electrical wiring.

It immediately spread to other houses made of light materials.

The two other destroyed houses were owned by Concepcion Robles and Vangeline Bancaya while damaged houses were owned by Eduardo Robles, Richard Vargas, and Arlyn Sitchon.

The fire was put out at 10:07 a.m. No injuries were reported.

An estimated P20,000 worth of properties was destroyed. (GYM)
