Merlinda A. Pedrosa

GRUDGE is the possible motive behind the killing of a tricycle driver who was shot in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City on Saturday, December 4, 2021, the police said.

Police Major Ritchie Gohee, commander of Police Station 4, said Raymond Tordillos, 44, of Purok Bagong Silang in the barangay, was driving his tricycle along Sophia Gonzaga Road around 9 a.m. when he noticed that the suspect was tailing him.

This prompted him to alight and seek help at a nearby vulcanizing shop.

Before reaching the shop, however, the suspect shot him thrice, causing his instant death, he said.

He added that they already have the identity of the suspect, although he cannot reveal it yet pending the filing of the case.

Prior to the shooting, Gohee added that Tordillos had a heated argument with an unidentified man in the barangay.

Police recovered from the scene of the crime several empty shells of a 9-millimeter caliber revolver.

Investigation is ongoing.
