Minor, 4 others nabbed for drugs

FIVE persons, including a minor, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental Friday.

In Victorias City, two newly-identified drug personalities were collared at St. Martin Subdivision in Phase 1, Barangay 21.

Police identified the suspects as Richard Batila, 26, of Barangay Rizal, Silay City, and a 17-year-old resident of Barangay 2, E.B Magalona town.

Police recovered from them three sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) amounting to P3, 000, drug paraphernalia, two cellular phones, and P520 in cash.

In Bacolod City, Renzie June Tiongco, 19, of Barangay Pta. Taytay was arrested at Barangay Sum-ag after police seized from him a suspected marijuana and P50 in cash. His companion Kyle Sajo who is the subject of the operation managed to escape.

Tiongco is detained at Police Station 9.

Also arrested yesterday in Barangay Handumanan was Rolando Omarementeria, 25, of the said village after he sold a shabu to a police agent for P200.

Police confiscated from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P6, 000, pouch, and the P200 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 10.

Personnel of Police Station 3 collared Michael Lozada, 28, of Manapla town after he yielded three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P100 in cash, and a 22. homemade caliber revolver with two ammunition in a drug raid at Barangay Banago.

Target subject Jose Aliguin Jr. was able to evade arrest.
