Number 2 drug suspect, most wanted persons nabbed

POLICE have arrested a "number 2 drug personality" and two most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in the Zamboanga Pennsula, officials said Friday, January 29.

The police identified the arrested suspects as Marlon Manila Tañesa, 33; Rosita Manog, 37; Ruben Manog, 41; and Amelito Tangkod Limbas, 59.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Gilzen Niño Manese, Dipolog City police chief, said that Tañesa, number 2 drug personality, was nabbed in a law enforcement operation around 2:15 p.m. Thursday in Sicayab village, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte.

Tañesa has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with P200,000 recommended bail.

Police Captain Edwu Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said that Manog and her husband, Ruben, were arrested in another law enforcement operation around 4:50 p.m. Thursday in Bunawan village, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte.

Duco said that Manog, who has been listed as the number 10 most wanted person in Godod town, and her husband, Ruben, have standing warrant of arrest for homicide with P40,000 recommended bail each.

Limbas, meanwhile, was arrested in a law enforcement operation around 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Campo 7 in Dongos village, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.
