350 new cops take oath in Caraga

PJ Orias

A TOTAL of 350 new recruits of Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO 13) took their oath of office this week.

The new recruits, 251 male and 99 female, passed a thorough examination and screening under the 2018 Police Officer 1 (PO1) Regular Recruitment Program.

Each will receive a basic monthly salary of P29,668 with allowances.

“Remember that an oath of office is the mortar that binds us to the foundations of our government. Since you entered the realm of law enforcement, you have opted to follow a higher standard of integrity and conduct,” PRO-13 director, Chief Superintendent Gilberto DC Cruz, said.

The region’s police chief also reminded them to build their foundation on integrity and credibility and never engage in illegal activities.

The new batch of Police Officers 1 will be brought to the Regional Training Center 13 in Surigao City to undergo the six-month mandatory training.

During the ceremony, members of the Regional Screening Committee were given plaques of appreciation for their efforts in efficiently supervising the selection process, while families, relatives and friends witnessed the oath taking of the new police officers.
