4 Kagay-anons land in Nursing board’s top 10

FOUR takers of the 2018 Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) from Cagayan de Oro City have landed in the top 10, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, June 19.

Three Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan takers, Andrew Rey Del Fierro and Philip Gabriel Gimotea both ranked second with 87.20 rating while Ellein Jericka Tong secured the 10th place with the rating of 85.40.

Emman Parangue of Capitol University placed fourth with an 86.60 rating.

Out of 9,873 who took the examination last June 3 to 4, 43.82 percent or 4,326 successfully passed the examinations.

The PRC administered the examination in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tugegarao, and Zamboanga.

Xavier University also ranked among the top performing schools with a 100 percent passing rate along with West Visayas State University (WVSU)-La Paz and Velez College, Cebu.

59 takers of Xavier University all passed the exam.

“For eight consecutive Philippine Nursing Licensure Exams (PNLE's), Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan's college of Nursing has maintained its streak of garnering a 100 percent passing rate.” The university said in its Facebook page.
