BSP: Inflation at 2-2.8% in March

Sunnexdesk

THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) estimates March inflation to settle around 2-2.8 percent.

The BSP's Department of Economic Research attributed the downward price pressures to falling global oil prices, stable food prices and the government-ordered price freeze for basic goods amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

In February 2020, the consumer price index slowed to 2.6 percent. (CSL)
