Customs eases doing business with Customer Care Center

Sunnexdesk

THE Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu has inaugurated its Customer Care Center (CCC) to serve as the one-stop shop facility for filing of goods declarations, receiving and releasing of documents, payment of customs duties and taxes and other customs-related inquiries and transactions.

“The CCC makes doing business with Customs simple, secure, and crucial in this time of pandemic, safe,” said Acting district collector Charlito Martin Mendoza.

A brainchild of Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, the CCC is designed to further streamline the bureau’s processes, and minimize opportunities for graft and corruption while increasing efficiency of trade facilitation.

“Well-trained Customs officers will man our CCC so our stakeholders can expect better and faster service from us,” said Mendoza, who added that the service center is sure to boost the port’s transaction efficiency in time for the anticipated uptick in transactions for the Christmas season and gradual reopening of the economy.

The CCC is one of the programs of the Bureau of Customs under the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act. (PR)
