UC buys vaccine doses, ramps up vaccination drive

Sunnexdesk

THE University of Cebu (UC) and UC president Augusto Go have strongly advocated for vaccination as a solution to combating the present Covid-19 pandemic.

Early this year, Go committed the free use of UC campuses as vaccination sites for the government and then he launched a massive vaccination campaign for all its teachers and staff.

While some of them have been vaccinated through the local government unit’s vaccination drive, UC, through the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., which entered into a tripartite agreement with the national government, procured vaccines for employees of UC and the Augusto W. Go group of companies, and their dependents.

Recently, with plans of having limited face-to-face classes for certain academic programs like medicine, nursing, medical technology and maritime, the University of Cebu is looking into a vaccination drive for its students, following the government’s vaccination priority group. (PR)
