Ayala Center Cebu celebrates Chinese New Year with fun activities

AYALA Center Cebu welcomes the Chinese New Year with the revelry of an old Chinatown village where mall goers experience traditional activities and booths selling delicacies and treats, lucky items, and many more from Jan. 19 to 25, 2023.

Transforming itself as a gateway to the past when the beginnings of Chinese cultural influence dawned on Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu has lined up a number of activities for the Year of the Rabbit celebration including the colorful and striking Lion and Dragon Dance known for attracting good fortune.

From Jan. 19 to 25, guests can visit Ayala Center Cebu and check these out:

  • Old Chinatown Village at The Gallery - Take in the smell, taste, and experience of the Chinese food fair at this red lantern-bedecked village. Pick out your favorite delicacies and snacks and don’t forget to get those fortune cookies. Immerse yourself in calligraphy, have your fortune read, and find some lucky charms to get you through the rest of the year.
  • Fate and Fortune Zodiac Walk at Paseo Solana - Find out what the Year of the Rabbit has in store for you and see the creative Horoscope Display.
  • Fortune Tree - Level 1 near Levi’s.
  • Lion Dance - January 21 1:30 p.m. and January 22 4:30 p.m. Join in the much-anticipated Lion Dance known for bringing prosperity and good luck. Place your donations inside red Ang Pao envelopes.
