Sunnexdesk

THE Sinulog Festival is in full swing and Maayo Hotel has a lineup of activities for both locals and tourists can get into.

There’s nothing like food to give visitors an introduction to a place’s culture. For Sinulog 2020, Maayo Hotel whips up a feast at Uma Restaurant, promising a memorable culinary journey just in time for the festival. Called “Kumbira: A Cebuano Heritage Cuisine,” diners get to enjoy a generous spread of Cebuano fare, featuring dishes that the city is known for. This buffet is available during lunch and dinnertime until Jan. 19.

Head on over to the hotel’s main lobby to witness the ritual prayer dance and music in honor of the Sto. Niño, performed by Mandaue City School for the Arts Dance Troupe. It will take place on Jan. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Jan. 19 from 7 to 9 a.m.

Get pumped up and dance the night away with Maayo Hotel’s Annual Sinulog Roof Deck party. Happening on Jan. 18, look forward to some of the city’s renowned DJs as they play some catchy beats while having an illuminating time with friends and family, dressed to the nines in neon and white.

With Maayo’s itinerary for the festival, it gives its guests the option to experience the wonders of Cebu all in one place.
