Baby boy survives being left in plastic bag in Mandaue

A NEWBORN baby boy was found inside a plastic bag in a dumpsite in Purok Tambis, Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City on Tuesday morning.

Resident Angelito Entis, 48, immediately called the police after finding the baby, who was believed to be about a week old, beside a multicab around 8:25 a.m.

The baby was immediately turned over to the Mandaue City Social Welfare Services (CSWS) led by Eugerna Arnoza and brought to the Mandaue District Hospital for a check-up, according to an initial report filed by PO1 Gail Agosila of the Mandaue Police Station 5, who checked out the incident.
