THE Cebu City Disaster Reduction Management Office (CCDRMO) acquired its first-ever fire truck to use when responding to fire-related emergencies.

CCDRMO head Ramil Ayuman said that the fire truck cost P10 million.

The fire truck arrived and its firefighting capabilities were tested last week.

The administration of Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella bought the fire struck as part of the modernization strategy of CDRRMO that is assigned to prepare the city for calamities and emergencies.

Apart from the fire truck, the CDRRMO also has heavy equipment, such as a backhoe, parked in strategic locations to respond to possible incidents of a landslide. (REV/With NRC)
