City Hall closed for disinfection, to reopen July 7

Sunnexdesk

THE Lapu-Lapu City Hall was closed to the public on Monday, July 6, 2020.

No transactions could be conducted as the whole building and its attached officers were disinfected. Employees of the City Government were still ordered to report on duty, though, to help disinfect their offices.

Personnel of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were in charge of disinfecting the common area.

There was a suggestion to lock down the City Hall after four city officials -- Mayor Junard Chan, City Councilors Ricardo Amores and Janvi dela Cerna and Social Welfare Office Head Annabeth Cuizon – tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covi-19) – but this was not approved so services would not be disrupted.

The City Hall will be open to the public on Tuesday, July 7. (GCM, MMC)
